NJCAA Foundation Sport Opportunity Grant Recipients
Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA Foundation Sport Opportunity grant recipients for the 2023-24 academic year have been announced. 10 member college programs across the association have been awarded a Sport Opportunity Grant that will help in supporting the addition, growth, and sustainment of NJCAA sports. The grant is awarded based on need and allotted funding.

As one of its main objectives, the NJCAA Foundation strives to provide new opportunities to student-athletes and member colleges across the association. "Two-year collegiate sports provide student-athletes with the opportunity to further both their athletic and academic careers," said Brian Luckett, NJCAA Foundation Executive Director. "The NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant affords the NJCAA Foundation a pathway to continue supporting student-athletes and the member colleges who provide them with these incredible opportunities while also promoting continued growth and development throughout the organization."
The NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant has awarded $50,000 towards NJCAA member colleges as they expand sports offerings at their institution while increasing student-athlete access and achievement. Each member college awarded the Sport Opportunity Grant will now be able to fund the establishment of new sports, creating more opportunities for the college and its student-athletes.
Since 2018, the NJCAA Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, has funded scholarships, community programs, and national awards for the association's student-athletes, member colleges, and administrators.
